Junior Level JAVA or C++ Developer

CSS Staffing, based in Omaha, NE, has an open position with a large local client for a Java Developer.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

• 2+ years experience of programming experience in an object oriented environment (C++, Java)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience developing using Mumps/Cache preferred but not required
• Solid understanding of Services Architecture preferred
• Experience with an iterative software development lifecycle and best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Financial services/brokerage experience preferred
• Proficiency in the development and implementation of medium to large-sized systems
• Emphasis in Oracle/stored procedures
•  

Core Responsibilities:

·        Performing product design tasks of a basic to complex nature which requires extensive research and analysis.

·        Works within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software.

·        Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions.

·         Prepares program specifications and develops coding logic flowcharts.

·        Apply innovation and creativity to the development process and to problem resolution.
