Experience in Title Insurance, Contract or Claims Litigation is preferred. Must have three to five years experience to be considered..

• Receive and process notices of title insurance claims for title insurance underwriters
• Determine agent, obtain proof of insurance, examine real property and escrow documents
• Determine insurability and issue applicable resolution and/or response letters to claimant and underwriter's agent, applying state specific real property laws to each claim matter
• Communicate with various state and regional underwriting counsel for legal advice
• Advise claimants and underwriters' agents of defects and requirements for resolving title defects
• Draft Certificates of Release to clear prior, unreleased mortgages (when agent is closed or cancelled)
• Hire outside counsel, when necessary, for litigation matters
• Monitor urgency, priority, flow, and number of claims/clearance matters for various states
