Human Resources Director

American Fence is currently searching for a Director of Human Resources. This position is a top level position within our company; being in the mainstream of the day-to-day HR functions we are seeking a “hands-on” person who can manage the multiple aspects the human resources function.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a human resources function with specific experience in the areas of employment, safety, employee benefits, workers compensation, and employee relations.
- Education in the human resources function which may include a degree or equivalent and relevant experience in HR, business management, and safety.
- Strong organizational skills with solid communication and interpersonal skill. Must be able to handle multiple duties and functions.
- Experience in recruitment, planning and forecasting, strong knowledge in labor laws which include hiring, discipline and employee relation functions.
- Knowledge of training and management development methods and techniques.
- The ability to communicate both orally and in writing to all employees, make presentations or conduct training workshops.
- Promotes positive relations when interacting with employees or customers.
- The successful candidate will have practical experience in the HR function with the ability to multi-task with projects and provide guidance and direction to the management team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruiting function to meet the needs of the organization.
- Maintain the safety function and support each Branch with safety training, recordkeeping and incentives.
- Provides direction and supervision for Human Resources in all locations.
- Support the organization’s policies, programs, and assist the leaders in balancing the company’s resources.
- Provides consultation to management on all employee relations matters.
- Supervise the Workers Compensation and Unemployment Compensation programs.
