Here is a wonderful opportunity to supervise the the work of rendering prosthetic and sensory aid services to disabled patients at our facility!
Duties include: Administer, supervise, or perform work related to rendering prosthetic and sensory aids services to disabled patients. Develop local organizational policies and procedures consistent with national policies and procedures. Assess and provide technical guidance concerning equipment and benefits to beneficiaries and other health care workers. Develop tools that allow monitoring of a quality assurance program. Plan, develop, and execute budget. Oversee effective utilization of all resources, Coordinate specialty programs (clothing allowance, Home Oxygen, Automobile Adaptive Equipment, Home Improvement Structural Alterations (HISA), wheelchair, amputee, Major Medical Equipment Committee (MMEC), Preventative Amputee Care Team (PACT), etc.) Manages, maintains and controls inventory. Contract management for local and VISN contracts. Administers personnel management rules, regulations, procedures; Sets guidelines and procedures to assure safe work environment and use of safety equipment. Keep abreast with current issues in the health care industry and technological advancement. Implement Joint Commission standards of care. Participate in national initiatives, intra-agency workgroups and/or committees. Prepare and present lectures. Assist in drafting/recommending local and network prosthetics policies. Implement new directives, programs and policies.
