Who are we?

Developmental Services of Nebraska, Inc. is a non-profit organization that serves both adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities in both a residential and vocational setting. Our mission states that DSN helps persons; both children and adults, with mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities gain skills, knowledge, and experience to increasingly use and benefit from the resources and settings available to all citizens in our community.

Position Overview:

Direct Support Professionals will be responsible teaching and mentoring life skills techniques to individuals with developmental disabilities within a residential setting. This will include but is not limited to assisting with homework, cooking skills, cleaning implementation, social activities, assisting with hygiene, and celebration of accomplishments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to problem solve and implement crisis intervention techniques,
• Must have a desire to make a difference in someone’s life,
• Must be at least 19 years of age,
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent,
• Must possess a valid drivers license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation
• Must have checking or savings account for direct deposit.
