The primary duties of the Senior Hydraulic Modeler are to conduct difficult to complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling; provide project and task management; collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos and public forums; lead production of design calculations and technical reports; and lead preparation of engineering plans and specifications for design of detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, and other hydraulic structures. Will work independently as well as plan, organize, and supervise work of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians dependent on project/task. Although may serve as project manager on larger projects, project management is not sole focus of position. Will be able to prepare proposals, scopes of work and contract cost estimates.



Keyword(s):

Senior Water Resources Engineer, hydraulic modeling, storm water systems, HEC-1, HEC-RAS, flood control. CALSIM 2 and DSM2 experience required.

BSCE required.

PE strongly preferred.

8+ years Water Resources experience.

HEC-1, HEC-RAS, Flo2D experience strongly preferred.

Experience in water resources planning, hydrology/hydraulics and drainage/flood control design.

Familiarity with DOT drainage design criteria.

Experience in FEMA studies a plus.

Excellent writing and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
