The Archaeological Monitor will observe construction activities in southern California. Tasks will include marking previously recorded sites, performing small surveys, recording inadvertent discoveries, and report writing. Candidates can anticipate extensive travel and working long days in harsh environments. Experience working around heavy equipment and with construction crews is required. Applicant should have attention to detail, be punctual, and organized.



Job duties will include:



Note taking, map reading, and collecting data on GPS units

Completing site forms, drawing sketch maps, and photography

Completing daily log forms, communication with construction workers
