The primary duties of the Water Planning Director of Business Development, reporting to the Water Group Director of Business Development, is responsible to develop, coordinate, implement and monitor company-wide, client based business development and service offerings to address market drivers for the water planning market sector. Responsible for client based business development strategies for new and existing clients to increase business opportunities and services provided by the business group and company. Responsible for coordination of client based business development strategies and implementation with company, regional and departmental managers. 1. Develop and promote strong client relationships and the marketing of all services to meet client needs.2. Provide leadership to business class client development directors within the business group.3. Participate in development of strategic plans to increase services to targeted clients and market segments.4. Lead business group initiatives for the strategic development of services to new and existing clients with respect to the Water Planning Market sector.5. Support client marketing, project pursuit teams and business practice groups in the marketing of new services and clients all within the established goals and objectives of the business group and the company.6. Identify key staffing needs to develop and implement client service initiatives and participate in the hiring and development of new staff.7. Support coordination, communication and the cooperative marketing of clients across all business groups with company, regional and local managers.
