Position Description

 

Qualifications:           
 
§ Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
§ Experience administering a Course Management System in a Windows/SQL environment.
§ Experience working with Multimedia applications.
§ Expertise in training instructional technology applications and online best practices in an educational environment to faculty and staff members who represent a variety of disciplines.
§ Explores and evaluates new technologies, materials, and techniques for their applicability to education uses.
§ Ability to work with minimal supervision.
§ Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in Web development; Web servers, browsers and various third party tools for integrating Web applications with databases and legacy systems.
§ Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks concurrently to accomplish goals.
§ Solid verbal and written communication skills are required.
§ Strong system understanding including networks, databases, servers, and desktops.
§ Researching and implementing new technological solutions, staying abreast with the latest software, hardware and networking developments and revisions.
§ Strong relational database knowledge and experience using SQL Server including report writing.
§ MicroSoft SharePoint .net development/implementation/migration experience.
§ Familiarity with 3rd Party solutions that integrate with SharePoint.
§ Must be able to multi-task, participate as a collaborative team player, and establish effective customer ties with faculty, staff, and students.
§ Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of data.
 
Job Duties:                
 
§ Responds to requests for assistance from faculty, students, and staff with respect to software systems/applications.
§ Maintains a close working relationship with Colleague programmers to update scripts for importing of users and courses into the ANGEL System.
§ Develops and conducts training on a variety of instructional technology topics.
§ Works with faculty and staff from the various campus departments assisting them with integrating technology in to their curriculum.
§ Other duties as assigned by ITC Director.
