Position Description
Education: Min. of Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. A valid NE Teaching
Certificate, or ability to obtain one, with endorsement in Special Education an
emphasis in
Early Childhood Special Education. The ECSE program provides homebased services
to
children, birth through two years of age in their homes or childcare setting.
Children with primarily speech and language delays may also be served in a
Toddler Group
setting in an elementary school. Children 3 to 5 years of age may be provided
services in a
school-based classroom setting or individually by a Speech Language Pathologist. Related
services, including speech therapy, occupational and physical therapy, transportation,
audiological services and psychological services are also provided to those children based
on need or
eligibility. This individual will exhibit skills pertinent to foster positive human
relationships and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the
community. This individual will exhibit strong standards of professional ethics. An
applicant may receive credit up to 10 yrs experience. (single health insurance.)
